Our easy-to-use vehicle type definitions keep your collector, exotic or specialty vehicle data organized. Click the type of collector, exotic or specialty vehicle you're interested in below.
 
Vehicle Type Definitions
Classic / Antique Classic / Antique
Defined by the Antique Automobile Club of America, and most Departments of Motor Vehicles, as any vehicle 25 years or older, in stock or unmodified condition.

Collectible Late Model Collectible Late Model
A large range of vehicles from your daily driver to your luxury autos less than 25 years old. Some vehicles will fit in other categories despite their age.

Exotic Exotic
Two passenger roadsters and coupes, usually foreign in manufacturer, with domestic exceptions being the Corvette, Viper, Shelby Cobra, etc.

Military Military


Muscle Car Muscle Car
Generally considered to be intermediate bodied cars with very large engines produced form 1964 to approximately 1972, with certain exceptions. Highly modified Muscle Cars may be listed under the Street Machines or Race categories as well.

Project / Parts Vehicle Project / Parts Vehicle
Vehicles, which require major restoration work or vehicles which are not complete and are a good source for parts to complete a restoration in progress. Derby cars may also be another example of Project/Parts Vehicles

Race Race
Generally vehicles eligible to compete in circle track, sports car and drag racing.

Replicar / Kit Car Replicar / Kit Car
A Replicar is a complete vehicle manufactured from the ground up, which is designed to accurately resemble an existing automobile. A Kit Car is generally a complete body with appropriate trim, which is designed to use a donor car's chassis and drivetrain to resemble an existing automobile.

Street Machine Street Machine
For the most part any street-driven highly modified car or truck built 1949 or newer. No stock/antique cars in this category

Street Rod Street Rod
For the most part any street-driven highly modified car or truck built 1948 or older. No stock/antique cars in this category.
